On May 7, the Global Peatlands Initiative hosted “Preparing field campaigns in peatland environments” an online training in English. The training focused on the methods and tools needed to study the peatland ecosystem in the field.

Speakers: Tatiana Yurievna Minaeva (Center for the Conservation and Restoration of Wetland Ecosystems IFS RAS), Lin Rochefort (Professor, Department of Vegetation, Laval University), Piet-Louis Grundling (researcher, University of the Free State, South Africa).

On May 26 and 28, similar trainings will be held in Russian as part of the “Restoration of Peat Bogs of Russia” project.
